We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Property Accountant to join our team on a permanent, fully remote basis. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of properties, with a focus on providing top-notch accounting services to our clients. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting and a strong understanding of GL, reconciliation, and month-end close processes.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities<br><br></strong>As a Property Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining the financial health and success of our clients' properties. Your responsibilities will include<br><br><ul><li> Preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for a portfolio of properties.</li><li> Performing account reconciliations and ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.</li><li> Executing month-end close processes, including the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations.</li><li> Assisting with budget preparation and financial forecasting.</li><li> Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and accounting standards.</li><li> Collaborating with property managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.</li><li> Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.</li><li> Assisting with audits and providing necessary information to external auditors.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong>The ideal candidate for the Property Accountant role will have a blend of technical skills, analytical abilities, and a strong work ethic. Below are the qualifications we are looking for<br><br><ul><li> Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.</li><li> Minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting.</li><li> Proficiency in GL, reconciliation, and month-end close processes.</li><li> Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.</li><li> Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li> Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.</li><li> Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.</li><li> Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.</li><li> Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.</li><li> Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is a plus.<br><br></li></ul>This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned Property Accountant looking for a challenging and rewarding role within a supportive and collaborative remote environment.
