In this role, you will manage a team to advise, guide, and support immigration strategies while ensuring compliance. You will play a key role in supporting both new and existing foreign national talent, primarily across the Americas.

Description

As the Apple's Immigration Leader for our AMR Region, you will drive our immigration strategy across the Americas, ensuring flawless mobility and compliance for employees navigating the work authorization processes. This role requires outstanding expertise in U.S., Canada, Brazil, Mexico and Colombia (et al.)immigration frameworks, partnership with cross-functional teams, and proactive risk management. You will work closely with Apple’s People teams, Legal team, Recruiting team, and business leaders to ensure a scalable and compliant immigration program. Specific responsibilities and requirements of this role include: - Communication: Ability to exchange information and present ideas, report facts and other information in a strategic, clear and concise manner by ensuring communications are broad based / executive level and/or smaller in nature depending on the various circumstances. - Management: Oversight of the day to day relationships and operations of vendors and partners to ensure delivery service to Apple’s exacting standards by holding vendors accountable via survey measurements, vendor trainings, QBRs, etc. - Business Partnership:

Understanding various business line nuances in order to partner with stakeholders across Apple's People team, Recruiting team, the business units, etc), advising on appropriate immigration options (based on compliance, business need, candidate flexibility, cost considerations and equitable treatment of our people) that take into account short, mid and long term impact for Apple’s business and people both regionally and globally. - Project Management: Develop, scope, lead and drive various projects as needed including new country expansion initiatives. - Relationships: Develop and cultivate professional, consultative relationships across all levels and functions internal and external to Apple. - Critical thinking: Able to assess information, anticipate issues and outcomes, and provide flexible solutions to sophisticated and multifaceted problems.

  • Knowledge of mobility taxation, remote work compliance, and cross-border employment considerations.
  • Familiarity with global mobility programs, relocation policies, and expatriate management
  • JD, Master's, or equivalent preferred



Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $211,800 and $317,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
