The Manager, Marketing Technology and Digital Products is responsible for driving the marketing technology strategy and managing digital experiences, ensuring effective communication across channels and optimizing customer interactions. This role combines strategic leadership with operational excellence to enhance engagement and compliance in marketing initiatives.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the strategy, governance, and optimization of the email marketing and campaign orchestration platforms (e.g., Oracle Responsys, Adobe Journey Optimizer, or Adobe Campaign).
  • Guide the development of multi-channel marketing programs that drive engagement, retention, and brand consistency across diverse audiences.
  • Establish processes and best practices for campaign execution, quality assurance, and analytics in partnership with marketing operations and analytics teams.
  • Direct the planning and alignment of campaign calendars across business units to ensure timely and coordinated delivery.
  • Collaborate with data and analytics teams to advance segmentation, personalization, and measurement capabilities.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to marketers and technologists focused on campaign strategy, design, and optimization.
  • Lead a team of product managers responsible for customer- and dealer-facing websites (e.g., SantanderConsumerUSA.com).
  • Define and prioritize the digital product roadmap, balancing innovation with operational excellence and compliance.
  • Partner with UX, design, IT, and compliance stakeholders to deliver high-quality, user-centered experiences.
  • Oversee Agile delivery practices, ensuring effective sprint planning, backlog management, and continuous improvement.
  • Promote customer-centric design and data-driven decision-making to optimize usability, accessibility, and site performance.
  • Direct the QA function for digital deployments, establishing rigorous standards for testing, release readiness, and post-launch validation.
  • Partner with IT, business intelligence, and data teams to align marketing data architecture and ensure seamless integration between CRM, CMS, and campaign platforms.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory, privacy, and brand standards across all marketing technologies and digital touchpoints.
  • Define key metrics and governance frameworks for marketing technology performance, adoption, and compliance.
  • Stay informed of emerging trends in marketing automation, product management, Agile delivery, and digital experience innovation, recommending strategic opportunities for advancement.

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in digital marketing, marketing technology, or marketing operations leadership.
  • 3+ years of experience managing digital product or platform teams.
  • 5+ years of direct people management experience, leading cross-functional or multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience in financial services or other regulated industries.
  • Established work and management history or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office products.
