Taking a practitioner-first approach in everything we do makes it possible for health and wellness practitioners to devote more time to their clients while they use SimplePractice to start, grow, and maintain a successful private practice.<br><br><strong>The Role</strong><br><br>We are seeking a <strong>Senior Manager of Data Analytics</strong> to lead our product and business data analytics group and continue to foster a data-driven culture at SimplePractice. In this role, you will guide a team of talented data analysts and work closely with various departments including Product, Finance, Marketing, and Risk Management to generate meaningful insights that drive decision-making across the company.<br><br>You will be a leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, building analytical capabilities that empower stakeholders and ensuring that our data strategy aligns with our broader business goals. Beyond overseeing daily operations, you will shape long-term strategies, improve data governance, and enhance the data infrastructure to enable scalable, reliable analytics.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities</strong><br><ul><li>Lead and mentor a team of data analysts, fostering a culture of growth, innovation, and collaboration.</li><li>Drive the data analytics strategy, developing frameworks to uncover actionable insights from complex datasets across various business functions.</li><li>Own and optimize the creation and maintenance of data products, including dashboards, reports, and ad hoc analysis.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to identify business needs, define key metrics, and deliver insights that influence product development, marketing strategies, financial operations, and risk management.</li><li>Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and governance throughout the enterprise, setting best practices and standards for data quality.</li><li>Build and manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to champion data-driven decision-making across the organization.</li><li>Manage and execute change management processes related to data analytics, implementing scalable solutions that address both short-term needs and long-term goals.</li></ul><br><strong>Desired Skills & Experience </strong><br><ul><li>10+ years of experience in data analytics, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role managing teams.</li><li>Expertise in SQL and experience with Tableau to build interactive and insightful dashboards.</li><li>Proven ability to collaborate across departments and influence without direct authority.</li><li>Strong business acumen with strategic thinking and expert data-driven story-telling skills </li><li>Experience with data warehousing and ETL processes, preferably with Snowflake and DBT.</li><li>Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure, particularly AWS.</li><li>Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights clearly to stakeholders at all levels.</li><li>Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize, manage deadlines, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Advanced proficiency in statistical analysis and/or data science.</li><li>Experience with Python, R, or another scripting language.</li><li>Strong understanding of data architecture and enterprise data strategy.</li></ul><br><strong>Bonus Points </strong><br><ul><li>Experience in Healthcare technology</li><li>Deep product analytics experience in a B2C space with scale of operations</li><li>Fluency for analytics engineering and experiences with dbt</li></ul><br><strong>Base Compensation Range</strong><br><br>$164,800 - $206,000<br><br>Base salary is one component of total compensation. Employees may also be eligible for an annual bonus or commission. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.<br><br>The above represents the expected base compensation range for this job requisition.
