About the Role

As a Remote Pharmacy Technician, you'll be the backbone of our customer support team, working closely with Customer Care Associates and Clinical Pharmacists to ensure seamless and effective communication. Your expertise will be instrumental in resolving customer queries, addressing concerns, and providing guidance on medication and treatment plans. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on customers' lives while working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to incoming telephone calls from Customer Care Associates, maintaining high-quality metrics and providing timely resolutions.
  • Make outbound calls to customers, healthcare professionals, and pharmacies, handling a range of situations, including urgent matters identified by the Clinical Pharmacist team.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Pharmacist team to facilitate outgoing calls to healthcare professionals, pharmacies, and customers, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to Customer Care Associates, utilizing a consultative approach to enhance staff knowledge and improve customer experience.
  • Create and complete tickets to support the Customer Care Team and Clinical Pharmacist team, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of customer queries.
  • Maintain an advanced understanding of Amazon Pharmacy's policies, procedures, products, and services, staying up-to-date on the latest developments and changes.
  • Monitor and process help desk assigned tasks on a daily basis, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing delays.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for escalated calls from Customer Care Associates, handling complex issues and following through until resolution is achieved.
  • Manage reporting of customer complaints, providing timely resolution and escalation as necessary, in accordance with set Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Investigate and report pharmacy errors, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Stay informed about pharmacy laws and regulations nationwide, maintaining a high level of expertise and knowledge.
  • Serve as a point of contact for system or technology/software outages, notifying relevant parties and facilitating resolution.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information, adhering to data protection policies and procedures.
  • Work autonomously, proactively identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with teammates to achieve shared goals and objectives, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate a customer-centric approach, prioritizing quality and excellence in all interactions.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including shifts that may start and end outside normal business hours, ensuring coverage and support for customers.
  • Perform other tasks assigned, adapting to the needs of the team and the organization in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Qualifications

  • Active and unrestricted in-state Board of Pharmacy License (including Pharmacy Technician, Trainee, and Assistant Licenses).
  • High school or equivalent diploma.

Preferred Qualifications

  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or NHA).
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member, collaborating with colleagues to achieve shared goals.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all tasks.
  • Experience recognizing and identifying patient medications, with a strong understanding of pharmaceuticals and treatment plans.
  • 6+ months of relevant experience working with computer and web-based tools, demonstrating proficiency and adaptability.
  • Experience working under pressure in a fast-paced environment, consistently meeting standards for productivity and quality.
