About the Role: Remote Member Services Representative

We're seeking an experienced and skilled Member Services Representative to join our Payments and Digital Systems team within the American Airlines Credit Union. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our day-to-day activities, including check processing, item processing, direct payments, and funds transfers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete data entry and balancing tasks with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Coordinate return items with members, outside vendors, the Federal Reserve, and other organizations.
  • Assist various departments with fraud resolution, part orders, and related Accounting general ledger balancing.
  • Work part-time cases/activities as assigned and follow established policies and procedures.
  • Process advance payments, multi-account and partial deposits, credit card payments, and various checks.
  • Review, research, and support Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled items.
  • Log, research, and make necessary GL, account adjustments, and/or returns.
  • Process Stop Pays and Check Clustering, and complete daily balancing and branch closing tasks.
  • Obtain information from members for the timely and accurate processing of international and domestic funds transfer requests.
  • Research and verify incoming and outgoing funds transfer information, and communicate with merchants to resolve funds transfer issues.
  • Stay up-to-date on current and incoming funds transfer regulations and guidelines.
  • Store check returns, research branch returned items draft adjustments, process branch checks, verify members for social funds transfers, and Federal Reserve confirming and delivering funds transfers.
  • Complete daily processing of workflows related to late returns, source of receipts, foreign collections, and legal fees.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) acquired through work experience or training.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and maintain good performance and attendance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous client/member service experience in a financial institution or credit union.
  • Experience with Episys/Symitar and processing wires.
  • Strong knowledge of banking regulations and guidelines, including NACHA rules and Federal Banking regulations.
