Role Overview

The IT Manager for Crewmember Experience Products will be responsible for delivering IT solutions to support our business operations. This role involves managing a portfolio of applications/solutions from inception to retirement, ensuring that our IT services align with the business needs of our assigned area of responsibility. The successful candidate will have a strong background in IT, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to drive results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own the relationship with our business's functional area leaders and deliver IT solutions to support business operations.
  • Partner to create and deliver an IT strategy and annual plan to support business capabilities, including an application or solution roadmap.
  • Manage a "portfolio" of applications/solutions from origination to retirement.
  • Develop, maintain, and report a financial and resource plan for the area of responsibility.
  • Ensure that IT and allocated specialty unit relationships are maintained, with clear and timely requirements recognized and agreed-upon service levels.
  • Act as the escalation point for functional support to assigned portfolio applications with continuous availability.
  • Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing to negotiate Crewmember agreements and service level agreements that align with specialty units' requirements and expectations.
  • Manage production and non-production environments through release and change management processes.
  • Ensure work practices are in accordance with all audits, security, and regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Work with other IT Managers to ensure alignment and drive efficiencies and continued accountability for product and services delivery within assigned specialty units and across IT.
  • Provide direct or indirect oversight of delivery teams for appropriate portfolio initiatives.
  • Play a significant role in driving and mentoring direct team as well as indirect Crewmembers to support the commitment, growth, and development of a succession plan for the IT department.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively multitask.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt your communication style to various audiences.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and quickly resolve issues, recognizing when escalation is necessary.
  • Excellent critical thinking and structured thinking abilities.
  • Knowledge of Project Management (PMBOK) and key training.
  • Knowledge of technology fundamentals and concepts.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio).
  • Availability for moderate overnight travel (up to 20%).
  • Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located.
  • Authorization to work in the US is required; this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

While not essential, the following qualifications and skills are preferred:

  • A degree in a related discipline.
  • Experience managing a budget and creating business cases.
  • Experience managing a full project or initiative, including presenting proposals to senior leadership.
  • In-depth knowledge of business functionality and comprehensive knowledge of business activities, objectives, and strategies.
  • Familiarity with JetBlue's IT disciplines and interdependencies and specialty units and how their needs drive IT strategy.
