About the Role: Sourcing Specialist (P2) in Enterprise Sourcing

The Enterprise Sourcing (ES) group is the backbone of our company's sourcing and procurement operations, supporting various business functions and segments. As a Sourcing Specialist (P2) within the ES team, you'll play a crucial role in driving strategic sourcing initiatives, focusing on category management, supplier management, and cost optimization. Key Responsibilities:

  • Category and Segment Sourcing: Contribute to a Category or Segment Sourcing team, operationalizing and implementing Sourcing Strategies that drive business value.
  • Negotiation and Execution: Participate in structured negotiations following pre-defined Strategic Sourcing methodologies, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Performance Management: Assist in developing and executing performance management programs with suppliers, focusing on quality, responsiveness, and cost.
  • Supplier Evaluation: Evaluate suppliers based on pre-determined selection criteria, ensuring the best fit for our business needs.
  • Cost Optimization: Analyze spend data to identify cost reduction opportunities and support strategic projects.
  • Market Research and Insights: Utilize market research tools and systems to analyze market conditions, develop comprehensive market reports, and provide valuable insights to drive category strategies.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicate and document the status of critical external relationships that may impact planning and decision-making.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Participate in cross-functional sourcing initiatives with key internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment and effective execution.
  • RFI/RFP Processes: Develop, execute, and lead RFI/RFP processes for various goods and services, adhering to TWDC policies and procedures.
  • Contract Management: Prepare and execute contracts, as well as perform post-award contract management, ensuring compliance with Sourcing and Procurement guidelines.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Relevant Experience: A minimum of 1+ year of applicable work experience in a Strategic Sourcing or Business environment.
  • Analytical and Project Management Skills: Strong analytical and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Communication and Presentation Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of communicating effectively with senior management.
  • Proactive and Results-Driven: High-energy, self-motivated with a desire to excel in a multi-stakeholder environment, and a strong work ethic.
  • Knowledge of Strategic Sourcing: Familiarity with Strategic Sourcing & Procurement and Category Management processes/methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry Experience: Experience in the Broadcast TV and/or Cable TV Industry, or a Production/Postproduction environment.
  • Project Execution: Experience executing projects against category plans, and utilizing sourcing project management systems like Coupa, SAP.
  • Advanced Degree: An MBA or Master's Degree in a quantitative discipline is preferred.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as supply chain management, engineering, or business is required. Equivalent work experience may also be considered.
