Role Overview

We are seeking a mid-level engineer to join our team in building and maintaining the Enterprise Elastic APM (Application Performance Monitoring) tool. This role is ideal for someone with strong Elastic Stack experience and a passion for integrating AI-powered development tools. The candidate will play a key role in incorporating GitHub Copilot for source code enhancement, managing GitHub Actions workflows, and utilizing M365 Copilot for scripting updates and automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy scalable Elastic Stack solutions, including Elastic Cloud implementations.
  • Assist in migrating legacy monitoring systems to Elastic Stack-based platforms.
  • Manage Elastic Stack components in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Administer and optimize Elastic Stack on Linux VMs and Elastic Cloud.
  • Integrate AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and GitHub Actions into development and deployment workflows.
  • Leverage M365 Copilot to streamline scripting and automation tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data ingestion, indexing, and visualization strategies.
  • Ensure system reliability, performance, and security across all deployments.
  • Document architecture decisions, deployment procedures, and best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of hands-on experience with the full Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats).
  • Experience with Elastic Cloud deployment and lifecycle management.
  • Proficiency in container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong Linux VM administration and deployment skills.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
  • Experience integrating GitHub Copilot and GitHub Actions into development workflows.
  • Exposure to M365 Copilot for scripting and automation.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in enterprise migration projects involving observability tools.
  • Knowledge of APM best practices in large-scale environments.
  • Agile/Scrum team experience.

Compensation: - $75,000 to $90,000 +/- and this position are also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans. Application will be accepted by 11/02/2025
