SALARY RANGE: $70,000 - $105,000 per year plus full package of benefits

JOB OVERVIEW

At AMS, Data Science Engineers turn complex nuclear plant data into actionable insights that improve safety, reliability, and performance. You will work with large time-series datasets from plant instrumentation, applying statistical, signal-processing, and machine learning techniques to detect trends, identify anomalies, and support diagnostics. Working alongside engineers and data analysts, you will develop automated tools, create clear visualizations, and communicate results that directly support our utility and internal customers.


DESIRED REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Strong skills in Python for statistical modeling and machine learning, regression, and clustering.
  • Experience working with large time-series datasets and signal processing.
  • Knowledge of data pipelines, automation, and database tools.
  • Ability to communicate technical insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Interest in applying advanced data science principles to nuclear power plant testing and monitoring.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and refine models to detect trends, anomalies, and equipment degradation.
  • Apply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to time-series data.
  • Develop automated tools for data processing, analysis, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with engineers and analysts to improve test methods and insights.
