As a <b>Procurement Specialist</b>, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of supplier management-from strategic sourcing and purchase order execution to schedule adherence and risk mitigation. This role offers the opportunity to work across a wide network of internal stakeholders and external partners, making a real impact on program outcomes and customer satisfaction.<br><br><b>What You Will Do</b><br><ul><li>Carry out Procurement processes, standards, and operational plans, including RFQs, RFPs, negotiation preparations, and cost analysis.</li><li>Manage and manipulate schedules while driving corrective action at the suppliers for best effort deliveries.</li><li>Respond to client inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction.</li><li>Carry out activities associated with purchasing goods, materials, supplies, and services to ensure terms are in the organization's best interest.</li><li>Prepare purchase orders, approve payments, and negotiate prices to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly, under general guidance.</li><li>Compile price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to provide input on reasonable prices.</li><li>Prepare request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages to take on new accounts.</li><li>Monitor contract performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations. Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries to ensure resolution of problems such as shortages and missed or late deliveries.</li><li>Responsible for all aspects of the relationship with a specific supplier within a commodity. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
