Pinterest Technical Program Managers are proactive owners with technical expertise. They are aligned to the highest level company priorities to support successful delivery of programs within their teams.

The Monetization team at Pinterest is responsible for innovation within the Pinterest ads ecosystem. As a Staff Technical Program Manager in Monetization, you will drive the development of new products and features, scaling existing solutions, solving complex engineering problems and driving ambiguous projects from inception through launch. You will lead large, cross-functional programs such as Ads Manager innovation, commerce platform integrations, sales productivity tooling & automation, and external partner integrations. You will partner closely with engineering and product teams and collaborate cross-functionally with data science, design, product marketing, sales, and business development.

What you’ll do:

  • Proactively identify and drive key strategic explorations
  • Translate strategic ideas into execution plans, and be accountable to drive them to completion
  • Drive complex technical decisions across multiple teams
  • Execute at both breadth and depth. At breadth by understanding the big picture, and at depth by being comfortable driving nitty gritty details with multiple teams
  • Be a thought leader to your XFN stakeholders by influencing product roadmap during the annual & quarterly planning
  • Work cross functionally with engineering, product, design, data analytics, Sales, Business Development, Research, and product marketing to turn ambiguous opportunities into actionable outcomes
  • Define new processes from ground up to streamline collaboration between stakeholders
  • Influence teams and build relationships with key stakeholders across disciplines and organizations
  • Build effective and transparent communication channels to adaptively communicate schedules, priorities, status and risk to various functional stakeholders at all levels of the company

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager, or related experience
  • Strong technical understanding and judgement, quickly developing a comprehensive understanding of a broad array of technologies, and identifying technical risks and tradeoffs
  • Comfort with a fast-changing environment and ability to effectively manage ambiguity
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally to identify opportunities and deliver solutions
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, organizational awareness, and ability to persuade others to accomplish program objectives while holding yourself and your team to a high standard of accountability
  • Strong written, verbal communication skills and comfort in communicating nuanced, and often technical, concepts to internal stakeholders or external partners
