Job Posting Title: Senior Manager, Content Partnerships Req ID: 10124476 Job Description: Hulu’s Content Acquisition team is seeking a Senior Manager who will be an exceptional addition to our TV content team. As the Senior Manager, Content Partnerships, you will report directly to the Director, Content Partnerships and be an integral part of the TV Content team focusing on US partners (both unscripted and scripted). You will participate in all stages of our content acquisition process - tracking and evaluating programming opportunities, negotiating directly with domestic partners, helping define our TV acquisition strategy through rigorous analysis of data, and working cross-functionally to amplify our existing TV content portfolio. This role demands someone who can blend quantitative output with a strong subjective filter to create actionable insights, dynamic interpersonal skills, and the ability to effectively drive change - all at a breakneck pace. WHAT YOU'LL DO Develop and own strategic relationships with domestic content partners and negotiate licensing deals, in partnership with Legal Track and vet new content for quality, appeal, and fit with our programming strategies Participate and collaborate on the formulation and communication of our TV content strategy internally and externally Create models and presentations supporting TV content strategies and deal proposals, and work collaboratively with our Finance team to value content opportunities Operationalize deals, managing all aspects of deal close and on-going deal management, including collaboration with Operations, Marketing, PR, and Finance to ensure deal parameters of our negotiated deals are communicated and executed Create insights and recommendations based on internal and external data sources Complete long term and ad-hoc projects, including competitive analysis, to support the strategy of the TV Content team and Hulu overall WHAT TO BRING 7+ years of relevant work experience at a major media company or a top tier consulting firm/investment bank, including experience negotiating content licensing deals Exceptional communication, organizational, and quantitative analysis skills Firsthand complex dealmaking experience for various types of television content licensing Understanding of multicultural content and how to serve diverse audiences Ability to thrive in an evolving and fast-paced environment, prioritizing and handling multiple projects concurrently and Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively – and know when to escalate issues Finely-honed sense of humor, team player, able to celebrate personal as well as team-wide wins and willingness to participate in lively debates NICE-TO-HAVES Interest in unscripted content Fluency in a foreign language The hiring range for this position in CA is $151,000.00 to $202,500.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
