Job Summary

The Quality Assurance Analyst III audits, measures, and reports on compliance with established quality assurance methodologies, policies, and procedures. This position ensures testing processes reduce risks when introducing enhancements, new systems, or changes to existing systems. The position supports the systems development lifecycle and change management process, analyzes business requirements, develops test strategies, and recommends improvements in testing tools and practices. This position also provides technical expertise, maintains testing artifacts, and supports successful delivery of technology solutions

This position is based in Leawood, KS and is not eligible for relocation.

What you will be doing:

  • Design, plan, and execute testing, including regression testing, system integration testing, and product testing for internal applications and reporting systems.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute SQL queries to validate data accuracy and system functionality.
  • Support user acceptance testing and post-implementation activities.
  • Log, document, and track defects with thorough supporting detail.
  • Validate test results and provide formal signoff or rejection of changes.
  • Maintain testing templates, scripts, conditions, results, job aids, and functional specifications to ensure consistent processes.
  • Recommend and support the use of test automation tools and methods.
  • Perform level of effort analysis and coordinate test environment setup and management.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure efficient use of resources, smooth project execution, and optimal results.
  • Provide input to requirement analysis, test strategy, and test plan creation.
  • Ensure quality metrics are captured, reported, and used to improve testing outcomes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting process enhancements and evaluating new tools and practices.
  • ·Mentor and guide less experienced quality assurance team members and coordinate their work as needed.

What we need from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business administration, engineering, or a related field with an information technology focus; or equivalent business and technical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in test planning, documentation, and execution.
  • 3+ years of experience in SQL scripting.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies, testing structures, and quality controls.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams on end-to-end solutions.
  • Proficiency with test automation and related tools (such as ALM, HP Quality Center, or similar testing tools
  • Strong skills in SQL databases and middleware technologies.
  • ·Experience in creating and maintaining quality metrics and artifacts.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects, assign and review tasks
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams.
  • Proven ability to complete projects on time and within budget while meeting business objectives.

What we also value (preferred):

  • Formal education or professional experience in software quality assurance, software testing, or SQL Server scripting.
  • Experience with data flow diagrams, reporting tools, and web page maintenance.
  • Familiarity with enterprise productivity and collaboration tools (such as Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Visio, or Publisher).
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to emerging technologies, practices, and tools.
  • Leadership qualities, including the ability to take initiative, build consensus, and drive organizational change.
  •  Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with industry standards and best practices.

Minimum qualifications:
