Telehealth Specialty Medication Nurse – Hybrid Job DescriptionThe Telehealth Specialty Medication Nurse provides patient counseling and education on specialty drug therapies, including REMS FDA-mandated medications. The nurse ensures patient adherence to therapy, facilitates medication refill scheduling, collects copays, and maintains accurate documentation. They also discuss side effects, report adverse events, and collaborate with pharmacy teams to support timely delivery and effective management of specialty medications. Telehealth Specialty Medication Nurse – Hybrid Schedule & Location:Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST (or 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST)Hybrid work model after completing 2 months of in-office training and meeting performance metricsInitial 2 months onsite training in:Cary, NC 27513, USAFort Worth, TX 76177, USACandidate must live within one hour driving distance of either locationTelehealth Specialty Medication Nurse – Hybrid Salary/Wage$40.00 per hour (maximum)Telehealth Specialty Medication Nurse – Hybrid Duties Counsel and educate new and existing patients on specialty and REMS medications, including reading FDA-mandated statements verbatim Promote medication adherence and manage medication refill scheduling Collect copays when applicable Maintain compliance with contracted and regulatory guidelines Document all patient interactions accurately following industry standards Educate patients on potential side effects and treatment alternatives Identify and report adverse events (AEs) and product complaints (PCs) to manufacturers and regulatory authorities Verify specialty drugs and act as liaison between providers and patients Maintain patient demographic and medical history records compliant with HIPAA Collaborate with Pharmacy Support teams to ensure timely and accurate drug deliveryTelehealth Specialty Medication Nurse – Hybrid Required Qualifications Registered Nurse with current unrestricted compact state license or primary licensure in NC or TX Must live within one hour driving distance of Cary, NC or Fort Worth, TX Ability to be onsite for at least 2 months for training and meet performance metrics prior to hybrid work schedule Willingness to be on the phone for 8 hours daily and tolerate repetitive tasks Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or higher degree in Nursing or accredited nursing diploma Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in acute inpatient or outpatient care preferred Strong computer skills including email, word processing, spreadsheets, and web-based programs Effective oral and written communication skills, preferably with motivational interviewing experience Ability to interpret practice standards, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations Willingness and ability to obtain licensure in additional states and U.
