Summary.
Enterprise security encompasses both physical security and cybersecurity to provide a comprehensive and layered defense strategy. Physical security is the first line of defense, focusing on the protection of an organization's tangible assets, facilities, and personnel. This involves measures like access control, surveillance systems, and security personnel to safeguard against physical threats, theft, or unauthorized access.

Qualifications

  • Must possess or obtain Security Guard Certification (Virginia).
  • Possession of relevant certifications in security or law enforcement is a plus.
  • Previous security or loss prevention experience preferred.
  • Must pass a criminal background check in accordance with Virginia Police guidelines.
  • Basic first aid and CPR certification is beneficial but not required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in law enforcement or security roles is preferred.
  • Possession of relevant certifications in security or law enforcement is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and situational awareness.
  • Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and loss prevention practices.
  • Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor access points.
  • Provide unarmed security services.
  • Perform access control.
  • Maintain order and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Assist in emergency or evacuation procedures if necessary.
  • Support customers through ushering and guest direction.
  • Ensure professional appearance and courteous interaction with attendees.

Uniform & Equipment

  • Should be able to purchase Class A Black uniform.
  • Radios or communication equipment may be issued.

Work Conditions

  • Schedule: Morning and Evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Both indoor and outdoor assignments.
  • Must respond within 2-4 hours of notice (for emergency staffing).

Pay Rate
If you have prior experience in security and a valid security license, we can offer up to $18 per hour.
