Progressive Technology is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Medical Insurance Call Center Agent to join our dynamic remote team. This position is ideal for professionals passionate about delivering high-quality support and solutions to clients in the healthcare sector. As a key player in our customer service operations, you will handle inbound and outbound calls related to medical insurance queries, policy information, claims processing, and issue resolution for our clients based in the U.S. This is a full-time, remote opportunity exclusively for candidates located in India.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries related to medical insurance plans, claims, eligibility, coverage, and billing.

  • Assist customers in understanding their insurance policies, benefits, and claim procedures.

  • Investigate and resolve customer issues with accuracy and efficiency.

  • Document all interactions accurately in CRM systems, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and company policies.

  • Collaborate with internal departments and insurance carriers to resolve escalated issues.

  • Meet or exceed daily performance metrics including call quality, resolution time, and customer satisfaction.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products, procedures, and compliance standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in any discipline or equivalent work experience.

  • Excellent communication skills in English – both written and verbal.

  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • High level of empathy and patience to handle sensitive medical and insurance-related queries.

  • Comfortable working in rotational shifts including evenings or late nights.

Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in a call center or customer service environment, preferably in medical insurance, healthcare, or a U.S.-based BPO process.

  • Prior experience with U.S. healthcare terminologies, claims processing, or HIPAA regulations is a strong advantage.

Working Hours

  • Full-time position: 9-hour shifts (including 1-hour break).

  • Rotational shifts covering U.S. time zones (EST/PST).

  • 5 days working schedule with 2 rotational offs per week.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Familiarity with medical insurance processes such as claims, authorizations, and reimbursements.

  • Proficiency in CRM tools, call center software, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Ability to remain calm and courteous in challenging situations.

  • Fast learner with adaptability to new systems, updates, and compliance changes.

  • Self-disciplined with a proactive work ethic in a remote work setting.
