Job Description:

  • Leading the development and execution on Aetna’s overall strategic plan, roadmap, and investment areas for its behavioral health and employee assistance businesses
  • Supporting various strategic initiatives across the enterprise that involve mental well-being capabilities
  • Integral to the go forward strategic direction of Aetna’s mental well-being offerings
  • Working directly with leadership to drive innovation, growth, and transformation of our business
  • Development of multi-year strategic plans at various business / organizational levels
  • Strategy execution oversight, risk mitigation, and stakeholder alignment
  • Evaluation of new strategic opportunities; examples may include new product, partnership, channel, and / or other avenues to drive growth
  • Maintaining pulse on competitive and market landscape; articulating product and service opportunities, gaps, and unmet needs
  • Building a strong POV on overall industry evolution to inform strategic planning efforts
  • Engaging and supporting other teams in developing their strategy / solving complex strategic questions as needed

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated strategic planning facilitation / development capabilities
  • Mastery of problem solving and strategic frameworks to inform business decision making
  • Adept at developing analysis, presentations, and support material to successfully implement strategy or change initiatives
  • Experience managing multiple, cross-functional, complex initiatives and / or planning across executive level stakeholders
  • Experience working in the health plan and / or health care industry
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to executive stakeholders across modalities (i.e., email / briefs, presentations, meeting management)
  • 5+ years of experience and technical/functional expertise in one or more of the following areas: management consulting, strategic planning, business performance
