<p><span><strong>GBM Private, Global Fund Finance - Structuring and Trading  </strong></span></p> <p><span>The Global Fund Finance business within the Capital Solutions Group in Global Banking and Markets deploys the firm’s balance sheet across a full suite of structured financing and risk management solutions across the private markets ecosystems. We are looking for an experienced senior analyst/associate to join our Structuring and Trading team in New York, whose core responsibilities will include:</span></p> <p><span> </span></p> <ul> <li><span>Working with more senior members of the deal team to structure and execute complex collateralized lending transactions</span></li> <li><span>Investing in becoming an expert on the front-to-back deal lifecycle including structuring terms, negotiating legal agreements, managing bookings, operational flows and other risk metrics</span></li> <li><span>Analyzing quantitative and qualitative factors influencing the credit quality of private companies</span></li> <li><span>Performing detailed assessments on relative value to evaluate the risk reward spectrum of each deal on a stand-alone basis, including calculating deal specific returns</span></li> <li><span>Drafting detailed investment committee memos</span></li> <li><span>Analyzing financial statements/relevant performance metrics, credit reports, market trends, and economic indicators to assess creditworthiness and predict potential risks, while recommending structural solutions to mitigate any risks identified</span></li> <li><span>Staying informed and educated on regulatory changes, economic developments, and industry trends that could impact the private markets ecosystem</span></li> </ul> <p><span> </span></p> <p><span><strong>Minimum Requirements:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span>Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Statistics, Engineering or related quantitative field</span></li> <li><span>Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in technical and quantitative roles that involve quantifying and analyzing risk</span></li> <li><span>High attention to detail and analytical reasoning  </span></li> <li><span>Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy, including experience with advanced excel</span></li> <li><span>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to present complex information in a clear and persuasive manner to stakeholders at all levels.</span></li> <li><span>Ability to work in a high pressure and dynamic fast-paced environment, including interacting with clients, legal counsel, and other parts of the Goldman Sachs franchise</span></li> <li><span>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage processes at scale</span></li> <li><span>Ability to take ownership and independently leverage all resources made available to execute effectively and efficiently</span></li> </ul> <p><span> </span></p> <p><span><strong>Differentiating Qualities:</strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span>Strong desire to build an in-depth expertise in Private Markets</span></li> <li><span>Structuring experience in secured/collateralized lending experience is highly valued</span></li> <li><span>Knowledge and or exposure to a broad range of credit strategies – senior direct lending, distressed and/or opportunistic credits is a plus</span></li> <li><span>Focus on credit risk assessments for illiquid instruments is a plus</span></li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>ABOUT GOLDMAN SACHS</strong></p> <p>At Goldman Sachs, we commit our people, capital and ideas to help our clients, shareholders and the communities we serve to grow.
